Midlands-based software solutions provider, Visdata Ltd, has secured funding to provide manufacturing software packages to manufacturing businesses across the region.
The funding will allow manufacturers with a turnover in excess of £1m to access IT packages designed to help increase productivity, reduce stock holding and help manage shop floor production more efficiently.
Businesses taking advantage of the grants available will be able to reclaim 100% of the consultancy, training and implementation costs of a wide range of tailored solutions designed to improve operational processes. Hardware, maintenance and software costs are, however, excluded.
This is a unique opportunity for Midlands-based manufacturers that are looking to achieve growth. Matt Benfield, managing director at Visdata, said: This is a fantastic result for us to have secured this funding, and enables us to support other manufacturers to grow their business by investing in IT software that makes them far more efficient.
Over the years we have worked with a number of grant funding agents, but this is the best package we have seen for a long time. Were looking forward to seeing how many businesses take advantage of it, as we expect demand to be quite high during the first quarter of 2016.

As a result of this, it was awarded management of the funding deal and will now handle the entire end-to-end process, including all of the application forms on behalf of companies applying for a share of the grant.
In addition, a deal has been agreed to allow businesses to spread the cost of their installation over three to five years, something which Matt is sure will be an additional appeal. He added: Its quite unique that grants of this type are available, but it could have a big impact on a number of businesses in our region.
