A Staffordshire-based business has won a six-figure contract with FTSE 250 Company, Certas Energy UK.

Visdata Ltd, a Software and Data Capture company based in Burton-On-Trent, has been appointed to install new warehouse management software in the recently opened lubricants stock handling division of Certas Energy UK, in Kettering and two further sites in Scotland. The contract came about after Visdata successfully implemented a system at Certas’ sister company, Flogas.

This deal is the company’s largest to date and as managing director, Matt Benfield, said is a “game changer”. He also went on to say: “Negotiations were at an advanced stage with some of the major software houses in Europe, but our ability to move quickly and implement a solution promptly helped us win the deal.”

The solution provided to Certas Energy UK consists of a Warehouse Management system using wireless mobile devices to manage stock movements, accurate reporting, user-friendly dashboards integrated with backend financial systems and third party logistics partners.

“This has been a great year so far for Visdata and this deal shows that we are able to go head to head with the biggest software houses in the country and win on functionality and experience.

“We set ourselves an ambitious target of a 25% increase in profits and turnover this year.  Our six month figures showed we were £70,000 ahead of target even before this deal so we have now almost hit our yearly target with five months of the year to go”, added Matt.

Visdata Ltd. was formed in 2012 following the merger of Benfield Software Solutions and Gould Group International. It has enjoyed steady growth since its inception with over 50 clients now in its portfolio including some large manufacturing and distribution companies.

The firm specialises in the design and installation of specialist business software applications for the manufacturing, distribution, food processing and retail & services sectors. It aims to help businesses to improve production processes and performance while reducing costs.
