Over the last few weeks we have seen how quickly things have changed, we have witness the world we knew turned upside down and we all having to adapt to a new way of working.   While demand may have changed over the last few weeks it may be a good time to reflect on what the world will look like when we come through this and what opportunities will be around when things begin to return to normal.

Productivity in manufacturing has been a passoin of mine as well as making things easier for our clients.  Over the years I have witnessed systems and processes hindering productivity rather than assisting it.   We are now in a digital world and changes in the way systems work have created better ways of doing things..

We have witnessed a move away from traditional PC based applications over the last few years and moved more towards collecting and delivering smart data to the coal-face, where it is needed in a manner that has increased productivity.   More and more of our clients have been moving towards material and product digital tracking .  This not only gives great visibilty but also seemless quality control and reduced wastage.  So much more of the traditional back office functions are now controlled by itelligent computer algorithms and the through-put has been significantly increased.

While the future is uncertain, things will return to some level of normality, but I suggest take the opportunity to remodel the new normality for the better.
