An award-winning software company is hoping to secure a Business Awards hat trick after being nominated for its innovative technology which has revolutionised businesses.

Visdata from Barton-Under-Needwood are a finalist in the technology and innovation category having already won the Most Promising Start Up Award in 2014 and the coveted Business of the Year Award in 2015.

This year, the software company wowed judges with its cutting-edge product, SmartTime® Operations, a digital process management product that transforms businesses.

SmartTime® Operations collects and distributes data to improve the efficiency of companies, helping them to maximise profits while removing non value added processes that waste time and money.

Visdata managing director Matt Benfield says: “This launch will take us into the next decade and we’re extremely excited.

“I realised that existing software products aren’t geared up for the current working landscape. So I decided to develop a product that would modernise businesses and help them to stand out from their rivals.

“We want to ensure that companies not only remain competitive, but lead the way in a fully integrated environment by working smarter. And SmartTime was born.”

And the software product has already witnessed success stories after a distribution company reduced its order-picking time from an average of 94 seconds per order to 36 seconds.

Matt explains: “The company was spending £1.7m a year on agency staff, so by adding in our innovative software, making them considerable savings and reduced warehouse travel by 50%.”

And after coffee manufacturing company Lincoln and York implemented the system to help with their manufacturing, their sales exploded by 367%.

Unsurprisingly, in June this year, they were recognised as the fastest growing international sales company in the UK at The Sunday Times International 200 awards in London.

Matt says: "Lincoln and York realised they needed something different in order to overtake other businesses in their sector.

“So we partnered together to deliver a solution that was better than their rivals were doing.

“And Visdata is extremely proud to have helped them achieve their success.”

Now Visdata have collaborated with Aston University as part of a European-wide initiative to introduce artificial intelligence into the workplace, optimising the processes to minimise inefficiency.

And they will be implementing their Warehouse Management System for a FTSE 100 company based in Kidderminster.
